Production
Production is a company that is involved in helping with
making a play, movie, or record. For the production to start filming, they hire
additional crew members to revise the script continuity while they are filming.
They also have someone to oversee and acquire the stage props. Did you know
that the production stage has another name which is principal photography?
In order to make a production, there are 4 steps needed to
be followed: development, pre-production, production, and postproduction.
The Development stage:
·
Focuses on initial elements.
·
May hire a writer to write the screenplay.
·
Signing up the director and important cast.
Pre-production:
·
What's needed on the board to prepare to shoot
the film.
·
Key personnel
Production:
·
When it all begins
·
Make the schedule to line up the film.
Post-production:
·
Other experts are hired to supply the complete film.
·
Ex: editors, sound engineers, musicians, special
effects, etc.
·
Hire a post house which is someone who does
package deal arrangements.
I wanted to know more about film producers, so I turned to
google for help. A film producer is someone who supervised the film production.
They are either hired or work independently. When I heard that films must hire
a screenwriter, I was so confused. I thought the film director did most of that
stuff, but I guess I was wrong. A screenwriter is someone who writes out the
screenplays to any film. I see a lot of Hollywood films and wanted to
know...how much does the director pay for that kind of film. Hollywood films
cost about $70-$90 million dollars, not bad.
Pros:
·
Gives actors more opportunities to have creative
input
·
Gives you a life-long friendship
·
Gives you the chance for bigger roles
·
You must make all decisions and wear many hats
·
No steady paycheck, health insurance, or
retirement plan
·
Your responsible and accountable for either the
success or failure of the film
